Scorching tears of determination.

Fire-filled cries for justice.

Screams for those in hiding.

You are the best of us.

Bodies on the line for neighbors.

Bravery against rules broken and lines crossed.

Love in the face of chaos and depravity.

You are the best of us.

Rage that brings you to the streets.

Hope that keeps you there.

We hear your voices and join your cries.

You are the best of us.

Motions filed. Rulings given.

Endless hours worked.

Desperate attempts to return those stolen.

You are the best of us.

Frustration with endless lies.

Eyes opened to being used.

Mind changed. Role acknowledged.

You are the best of us.

Dollars donated. Awareness raised.

Prayers prayed. Homes opened.

Goods given. Safe places offered.

You are the best of us.
